Holl is 2nd on the team in ice time this year only behind Rielly. He plays more minutes than Marner and Matthews. The Leafs are 2nd in the league in goals against. The leafs are tied for 3rd in the league in points per game. Why are trading Holl for a 3rd? He has clearly earned his place amongst the top 4 of a very good team. I was all for trading him this off season and getting a Schenn type but I was clearly wrong in my assessment. Holl has done great.

The Leafs will not trade Holl unless we get a star player back and his cap is needed to be moved out. Realistically he will not be traded.

Leafs give up nothing of value and get our best player 50% retained? No that's not happening.

Some okay proposals, as far as Timo at 50% you're offering your best prospect in Hirvonen, a 1st and a 2nd and a mid midlevel prospect in Abramov, which I dont think is too bad.

A high in the round 3rd for Hathaway would be enticving to WSH.

But agree with TMLBrian, that Holl has way too much value to shed. Yes, hes an expiring UFA, but besides Giordano, hes the only other dman who clears the crease and a CLEAR upgrade on Benn.

Isn't Knies is the leaf's best prospect?
I also think Niemela is more valuable than Hirvonen
definitely would need more for SJ to want to trade Meier
