Not pumped about giving 2 x 1st round picks for 2 rentals. 2024 one would need to be top 10 protected. And st louis would need to add 2 x 3rd or 4th round picks of their own.

That's not how it works. The blues aren't giving you ROR and Barbashev for you to win the cup only for them to essentially trade up 30 spots. What even is the point of making it a top 10 protected. That's stating that you expect to finish in the bottom third of the league and not make the playoffs
