It makes no sense to give up Draft capital just so you can trade Myers at 50% retained. It’s beyond asinine imo

Myers at 50% retained plus giving up a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Is pure asinine.

And Allvin has nothing but been lowballing Bo Horvat, There's absolutely no way Horvat gets 8 x $8,500,000 from Vancouver.

They overpaid Miller and cost themselves Horvat. If the rumor that Vancouver turned down Chytil, Lundkvist and a first for Miller is really true then there is no helping that franchise.

Totally agree, That franchise is in a major mess. Even Rutherford said as much.

At the time I understood turning it down. Chytil has really improved this year but at that time last year he was an okay 3C that hadn’t progressed much in 4 NHL seasons. Lundkvist was a solid piece but the Canucks wanted a more defensive oriented dman which is why they asked for Schneider. Obviously in hindsight they should have accepted it though

Why would the Avs do that Pearson trade? There are better and cheaper players available on waivers for free and you don’t give up a 4th round pick.

If you're referring the overpay about signing Miller or what we would have got by the deadline, I'd rather have futures and cap space over signing another overpaid player.

They should have done a rebuild rather than another retool.

How do you know what offers have been made? Its just your guess/opinion, just like the media so called experts. The only people that really know are the people involved.Just like they SAId that Brocks agent was given permission to talk trade with other teams.Turns out to be BS denied on national tv by the GM. Come on people lets be real on here at least.

Right, Maybe perhaps because the local Vancouver media pretty much said that he was being low balled. Most of the media said the offers were in the $6,000,000 range to the low $7,000,000 range.

FYI Buying out Myers next year 23/24 is cheaper than retaining half his salary against the cap.

OTT declines. They're in cap crunch time next season and Garland is NOT a piece worth taking on for us.
