    Yeah…no.
ROR for sure is a target, assuming he will be made available.
But no interest in the rest. ZAR, Sandin are 100% & Holmberg 90% on roster come playoff time. Knies is a wildcard but doubtful he will be ready to step into playoff hockey and contribute

Kyle Dubas has a thing for SOO Greyhound alumni.

That's why the trades for Hayton/Katchouk are featured here.

Hawks aren't trading an NHLer.....for two non NHLers. If Hayden is a 2nd line winger, don't you think he worth more than a 3rd rounder ?

If Dubas can get his hands on former SOO Greyhounds, he will.

It's sort of a made up theme. He brings in good players, some of them happen to be former Soo players. He isn't bringing in 2 inferior players to replace guys helping TO become a top 2 team defensively.

Katchouk is not much of an NHLer.

But he's a former SOO Greyhound and that's what counts.

    Same for Hayton.

Katchouk is also linked (no one knows to what extent) to ongoing hockey canada world junior scandal. Can’t imagine anyone will trade for anyone linked until the facts come out.

Yes we will. You don't add a bunch of players you don't need just for the sake of making a move. TO is a very good and deep team. They don't need to make many changes. Maybe just one move.

Then TO won't ever consider him. They put character above all else.

Honestly, it’s pretty realistic if the blues are still out of the ploffs come TDL time. Hayton might cost more than that though, he’s a centre who was a 5OA pick 5 years ago. They probably would rather keep him then trade him for only a 3rd.

They did just trade Timmins to the Leafs for next to nothing though.

Yes, but Timmins wasn’t a 5th overall pick, and Timmins also had major injury concerns which I’d part of why he was traded

Also that might be a reason not to trade Hayton for the coyotes lol. They probably don’t want a repeat of the Timmins deal with Hayton.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be very happy to see the leafs pull a deal like that off for Hayton, but I’d be surprised if Arizona agreed to it. Then again, crazier things have happened lol.

Trading for Hayton is a bad idea when you could’ve had Sam Steel or Tyson Jost for free. I’m not even sure Hayton will be better than either player.

Just FYI: The Blues don't have any need for Woll. They arguably have the deepest pool of goalie prospects, and the two guys in the AHL are at least as good but much younger then him.

How many of those goalies prospects can say they were a fan of the St. Louis Blues growing up?

Probably none, but that's hardly a selling point.

The main issue to me with ROR is do you really want him on the third line here. As hes gonna go from Kyrou and Saad to Kerfoot and Engvall or maybe Knies and Engvall.

To me going a more Avs level approach is better,

Target good depth, maybe a top 4 D and go from there.

Kyrou doesn't play with ROR. Try Josh Leivo. For some damn reason.

Kind of surprised on Levio has been playing more with him than Kyrou as when I checked Dobber yep Saad-Rielly-Kyrou is the second. Strange yet intriguing

Schenn has also played more on that wing than Kyrou. Now I don't hate Leivo - he works hard though not necessarily smart - but he has no business being on the line that takes the top matchups or on the PP.

Why would the Kings want Clifford? Should look at both sides of the trade, not just Toronto's.
