I think Isles want want players with a lot more term than one year of Bozak and JVR for Hamonic and young Strome. That's an weak LW. Leipsic and Leivo have iffy long term solutions and Nichuskin is just a hope. Taking on Niemi for one year might be good idea if you get a player back as you suggest (assuming he's still an NHL goalie.)

That's a hell of a haul for Marincin. I would want Lou to try and swing something for one of Lehtonen/Niemi to relieve the Stars of cap space, which will cover our backup situation and have them throw in a player like Julius Honka. I really don't know what Dallas is in need of. Maybe wingers? We have a ton of those, lol

Stars are in a similar situation as the leafs, they need D...I like the idea of taking on one of the bad goalie contracts to get something else in return...just don't see that something else being a Dman...maybe a young centre like faska? We need one of those too for the 4th line/future 3rd line after Bozak is gone
