I think Shane Wright will be getting traded before the end of his elc.

He is already pouting like a diva for not making the team.

Seattle is 3rd in their division at the moment and Wennberg is averaging 19 mins and 19 seconds a game right now. Which is #1 minutes for their entire forward group. The 2nd most minutes for a forward on Seattle is Schwartz at 17 mins and 56 seconds. So he is playing over a minute and 20 seconds more than the 2nd most forward.

He clearly has a MASSIVE role with Seattle. Therefore, Seattle will not be trading him for a 3rd round pick (let alone the 6th coming back the other way).

I don't think that's a fair characterization of Wright. I'm sure both he and the Kraken would have liked for him to play more than he has to this point, but there are several factors that have worked against him so far. First, the Kraken are better than expected and are trying to win games. That means putting the players who give you the best chance of winning on the ice every game. Currently, that's not Wright. It has nothing to do with his hockey ability, he just isn't physically mature enough to handle opponents at the NHL level yet. Second and most importantly, Wright's stuck in hockey limbo thanks to hockey politics. His ideal starting spot is the AHL, where he can gain experience as a pro against pro competition but at a less strenuous level. He did very well there in his conditioning stint. However, the stupid and outdated NHL-CHL agreement means the AHL is off-limits to him, so he's caught in between a level he's not ready for (the NHL) and a level that won't do much for his development (CHL). Fortunately, both of these obstacles are things that can be easily overcome. Wright's body will develop, and the NHL-CHL agreement will no longer apply to him after this year.

Long story short, I think Wright still has a bright career with the Kraken ahead of him and he will be a key piece of the team sooner rather than later.

Beniers-Wright could be a top 5 1/2 C combo a few years from now.

I wholeheartedly agree, Wennberg is definitely a key piece of the team right now. Even if he doesn't produce as many points as you may like given his contract, he's still a good playmaker and defender, making him a serviceable second line center. They're almost certainly not trading him this season.

That being said, Seattle will have a logjam at center once Wright is ready, as Beniers, Wright, Wennberg, Gourde, and Geekie will all be vying for center spots. I could see them trading Wennberg in a deal kind of like this one to recoup some value and simplify things. However, that would place a massive pressure on Wright's shoulders to step up as the 2C. Therefore, I only see the Kraken dealing Wennberg if they were 100% confident Wright could handle the role. So time will tell here.

Leafs don't have the cap for 4.5m Wennberg. Keep Kampf and Holmberg at centre cheaper and resign Bunting to play wing.

What kind of extension for Bunting you think?

I'm thinking 5m X 4. He might be offered more from some other team, but I think he stays a Leafs. Leafs will probably have to go cheap at LW with Robertson, Knies and Steeves maybe rounding the the top 4 LWers with Bunting. I'm concerned with an offer sheet for Samsonov. If the Leafs get trade (gift) 4.7m Murray for his one year, then the Leafs can sign Samsonov to longer term.

I said before the season began Wright wasn't ready; and that if Wright and Kraken management were smart, would have allowed him to pull a Matthews and play the year in Switzerland.

Long story short, a year of development has been pissed away. Can blame that on the NHL-CHL deal, but I think there were ways if people were imaginative.
