Yeah I see that, no way Montreal offers up a top 10 pick in this draft +++ for PLD and no way Winnipeg moves PLD before the playoffs unless they fall off a cliff and miss (unlikely though). I don't know why these have started up again, I was hoping we were done with them until at least after the playoffs were over lol.

The best part about this troll thread is the McDonough trade, he wasn't worth all that 5 years ago and now at 33 with his injury history, production this year, contract length, NTC and the fact that Montreal traded him before he even played a single game which means he likely wouldn't waive for the Habs if it was his last chance to play anywhere in the NHL again he doesn't get more than a 2nd or 3rd.

Montreal would certainly offer it. The only piece with any value is the first and maybe a little value with the second. The rest is worthless. If you can get a 24 YO 1C for magic beans only, you do it every time.

The 1st (currently 9th) is worth more to Montreal given the chance at Bedard and Fantilli than PLD is since we are rebuilding though. Add to that the other picks and it's not likely offered, I am not saying that PLD isn't worth 9th overall + all that so if we knew the pick was going to be 9th that changes things but not giving up the chance at a top 2 pick in this draft.

I got ya'. Yeah, a trade wouldn't be made without knowing where the picks are. Winnipeg has no reason to move PLD without knowing exactly what they are getting and I agree that Montreal should not be moving picks that could be in the top 5.

But as we both said, it is a troll proposal.
