    Years of being competitive and trading away their 1st round picks has left them with one of, if not the worst farm systems in the league. The only prospect they have that's worth anything is pickering but the last thing the hawks need is another defense prospect.

    They only don't have the prospects to get it done IF Kane gives the hawks more than one destination he will go to.

    If Kane says it's Pitt or no where, then Chicago will move Kane for whatever price Pitt will stomach.

    Kane's return is going to be underwhelming because he gets to limit the potential suitors.

    I really don't know how they'd pull that off. I think the only possibility is if the Pens were the only team that Kane wanted to go to, so the Hawks wouldn't have a lot of leverage. Unfortunately I don't think Dumo is going anywhere, but Kap would have to be part of that deal.

    The realistic pieces I could see them offering, and Hextall would have obviously be open to moving a 1st...
