Sorry to pop your bubble but NYR isn't desperate to get rid of Laffy, he isn't 25 and showing no signs of improving.
It is old school coach giving some tough love. Laffy needs to play with more emotion.

IF Laf is traded, it will be for a package worth a first overall. He's still got the same potential he had when he was drafted, so you're trading for that potential. That won't change until he gets a serious injury, a year with 0 improvement, or he's no longer and RFA.

add Bourgault and '25 1st and AZU still says no because they don't need forwards and really need D prospects
