For lines there’s a lot of options but Sully is stubborn for sure… Sid and geno would complain if they don’t get the top guys but I say forget it…kap wouldn’t be a good influence on geno as they’d play off each other and go east west like sully hates so I wouldn’t put them together…

Maybe try…

McGinn-Sid-Rakell
Zucker-Geno-Rust
Guentzel-Poehling-Kapanen
O’Connor-Blueger-Archibald (INJ) /Carter

Heinen

Blueger doesn’t have the offense for #3C but poehling might idk… with a couple skilled wingers maybe it would work…

I'm open to anything line wise, but I do think Guentzel in this case should be on second instead of Rust. He's just too good to be bottom 6. Rust I think would really elevate third line and Zucker or Guentzel can play RW. I wonder how much say the guys do have in line combos. I think it's dangerous when players dictate too much who their linemates are. I'm not saying they should have no say, but when the coach refuses to change the lineup because of them then that's a problem. I feel like there might be too much blending of roles between players, coach, and GM. I think they all need to just do their jobs to the best of their ability with collaboration, but not too much influence.

I get what you mean but in that case kessel was also too good for the third line lol 😂
