I don’t see BUF giving up their top goalie prospect to get a possible slight upgrade

Agreed, I think MTL is the only one to accept here.

NSH will want more too.

What if that top goalie prospect decides he doesn’t want to sign with Buffalo after this season?

I think Fabbro for Mittlestadt makes sense. Both are young players who haven’t taken that next step. Fabbro is playing 16 mins a night, they definitely seem to favor Carrier.

Portillo is the problem this year, not Levi… and everything points to him signing this year after his season anyway

What points to Levi signing with the Sabres. I haven’t seen anything.

What points to him not signing with the Sabres. I haven’t seen anything.
Conversely what points to Jayden Struble signing with Montreal ?
He might follow his goalie

The fact that Buffalo is a horribly run organization basically their entire existence doesn’t help their case, or the fact that Buffalo is one of the worst cities in the nhl. I’m not saying he won’t sign with them, but if it were me, I’d probably sign with 30 other teams before them.

There are a lot of reasons that he might choose Montreal if he were to test free agency.

As for Struble, I don’t know if he will sign, but I’m also not claiming he will.

Here you go…..

As for BUF, they like every other organization have ups and downs, but right now GMKA has actually seemed to pull them from the abyss of the last decade. But BUF is actually one of the best hockey cities in the NHL. Clearly you have never been there

I live 3 hours away from Buffalo. I like the word you used, abyss.

Btw there is nothing in that article that leads me to believe he’ll sign with Buffalo..
