If montreal gets Bedard, there's no way you move that generational talent to the wing, PLD can rot in Winnipeg or wherever he chooses to run once he hits FA

Keep Dvorak and Dach, find a way to trade Anderson or Gallagher.

The Jets aren't waiting a year for a first if all that they are getting is Dach. Zero chance they take on a long term cap dump like Anderson.

I know Montreal fans are desperate to dump that anchor, but no one is taking that contract on without sending an equivalent or worse long term contract back. You're stuck with him.

Dubois wants to get to FA to maximize earnings, so he's not signing a long term lowball contract.
