Pens don't need more vanilla bottom six forwards. Honestly, you'd probably lucky to get a single 3rd for Mittelstadt at this point.

Plus other really good goalie prospects in Levi, Portillo & Leinonen

On top of that,
Swayman is young goalie himself who is no sure thing
His 7-3-3 record might normally seem good, but his save% this year is under .900, and he is responsible for 6 of the Bruins 8 losses with his poor play

He’s not a guy we should target
Hard pass if it were up to me

But since i don’t see us moving Power to RD,
I’d rather keep Jokiharju anyways

LHD is position of least need for Sabres. No need to waiste offer sheets and salary cap space for it.

We got Bear, with salary retention, for a 5th round pick. Jokiharju isn't going to get you a 2nd round pick.

Completely different circumstances
Carolina had an excess of RD defensemen & we’re looking to get something for one of them
We only have 2 RD & aren’t looking to move Jokiharju

Bear is also a 3rd pair defenseman who Carolina had for 1 year & wasn’t invested in
Jokiharju & Power have been showing chemistry to the point where some are starting to think we won’t even need to upgrade our RD2

If we did move him, we wouldn’t be dumping him for whatever we could get
