laugh 1.5 years of David Perron at 50% retained who's on pace for 28 goals 35 assists for 63 points. Gets more than a lesser prospect a garbage UFA in Craig Smith and a 2nd round pick that's still 3 drafts away. laugh No way Yzerman accepts that laugh offer for David Perron include your 1st rounder if you want Perron for 1.5 years @ 50% retained not this worthless crap.

Still, a late 1st is not enough. If Perron was a rental (ufa after this season, not next), then fine, let the bidding war begin. Perron stays put. He has the A for a reason.

Yeah Perron would at least get an equivalent of a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick at minimal.

I dont think it is too far off. I'd use the Giroux trade as a comparable, and that was a high first prospect in Tippett, a 1st rounder, and a 3rd round pick. And that is diminished value thanks to Giroux having the nmc. Perron is a productive wing, which is what Giroux played mostly as in recent years.

This is speculative of course since Perron isn't moving anyway.

Needless to say, but the Hawks decline. Other than the 2023 1st, there's nothing else in that trade that moves the Hawks rebuild forward unless Hawks do the work to trade Carlo elsewhere. No thanks...

And why trade Carlo in the first place to replace him w/ McCabe playing on his off side? That makes zero sense for a legit Cup contender

LMFAO Yeah because a guy who's on pace for 63 points this season, Is only worth that garbage offer. Ty Gallagher doesn't move the needle for us. Craig Smith a 33 year old pending UFA cap dump and a 2nd round pick 3 drafts away. Who's the one living in a fantasy world. it sure as hell isn't me.

I agree keep the judgement to hockey, no reason to get personal.

So stick him on the other side, idc. Because he’d be cheaper with less injury concerns and less term

You would have to be in diapers to suggest such a ridiculous trade.

Perron for a 23 1st and lysell. With retention add a 2nd.

With retention for another year? That's worth more than a 2nd if you are talking 50%.

I'd say a first round and the second best prospect in their system. Any retention changes the proposal of 2023 first, prospect changes to Lysell, and a conditional first in 2024 or 2025, Red Wings choice if the Bruins make it to the ECF in either year of the deal. If the Bruins miss the ECF in both years, it becomes a 24 2nd and 25 3rd. It's only a couple million dollars, but that is a big deal this year and next, and the bottom feeder teams aren't giving up cap retention slots for paltry 2 million retention deals as brokers for just 3rd round picks.

Honestly I think it’s likely because he doesn’t value guys that aren’t producing points. My guess would be stat sheet watcher
