There’s not enough value for San Jose to move Karlsson with nearly $4 mil retained a year.

The Sharks (I’m pretty sure) have said they don’t want to retain any of his contract. And if they did that’s not enough value coming back for him. I also can’t see Stevie Y giving up their 1st and futures for Erik Karlsson, as they would need to give up a more then this says. The Wings development system has been very good.
