Boeser trade is great for Canucks, but can't fit that Cap. Horvat trade is a decline. If you meant them as one, still a decline, and Van can't fit all that cap.

Lucic ends at the end of the year same with Ritchie

They minus $9.9M (Boeser and Pearson)
Horvat signing for $8M is technically cap saved for them since they will have to sign him if they don't trade him.

$17.9M Out
$15M in Roughly

The first trade is an interesting one. I think the value is good, but the Canucks pass because they are looking to retool and as such, acquiring a bunch of players at or very near the wrong side of 30 doesn’t really make sense.

Canucks easily decline the second deal. None of those pieces are of any interest to them. The reported ask for Horvat is a 2023 1st, young roster C, and RHD prospect. This trade has zero of those 3 pieces, and doesn’t fit the Canucks needs well.
