Huh? best faceoff guy on the team, arguably 2nd-3rd best Pker on the team, and him and Dowd are the only two on this entire team I would trust to win a defensive zone draw (even with Backstrom back).

If he can figure out how to stop taking penalties again, he instantly becomes a huge part of this teams success moving forward imo...

Eller is solid at faceoffs and PKs but has turned into a below average third line center. It’s unlikely we can move him to wing on the fourth line and he has success.

I don't watch a lot of Washington, but isn't he still a good 3C? What part of his play is below average? Genuinely curious.

I’m likely too hard on him because of the severity of his mistakes but he has regressed over the past few seasons. He’s played a bit better this season but he turns the puck over too often and takes too many penalties.

Still solid at faceoffs and the PK. He was an above average 3C for a good while. Now he makes costly mistakes that lead to loses while having a negative Corsi. He gets an unlimited leash while our younger more talented players get scratched.

Yeah that's something you have to watch to be aware of. No stats for "amplitude of blunders".
Sad if true, always liked Eller and feel he deserves success.

Great guy, cup hero and I don’t think he’s done.

Plenty left in the tank and would likely thrive somewhere with less center depth.

you can put literally anyone on the fourth line with Dowd and Hath and they'd be a success lol. Obviously would prefer for Milano to stay in the lineup over Eller but there is literally zero chance Lav does that
