Some nice trades man. I’d rather have Neimela over Knies.

Nice creativity with netting Chytil & a 3rd for retaining on the Kane deal. The 3rd seems unnecessary from Chicago tho but, nice one nonetheless.

You should do another one of these trading Sunny, Kubalik & Maatta.

You only gain the 3rd from the Kane deal. Chytil ends up in Chicago.

Easy NO THANKS from the Rangers. Not trading Chytil or any young players or top prospects for a Kane rental.

Oh. 😔

I was wondering why Chicago wouldn’t want Chytil 😂

Anyways, still a good deal. Thank you for correcting me.

Nope, not interested in a Kane rental, I didn't post this trade idea.

So that makes him trash? Lol. I guarantee you he gets this type of return IF he is traded and IF he is traded, NYR will certainly be in the mix.

Yeah, well, the New York Rangers likely will be interested in a Kane rental so, I’m sure you’ll be singing a different tune then.

I'm sure you're wrong. If they rent him for a 1st round draft pick plus a B prospect, then fine, but any higher than that will be a waste IMO. Hopefully Drury stays away.

-More of a general comment than on the trade - I like how you worked around the 3 team trade limitation CF has, this flows in a sensible way to me and makes it easy to see the moving parts. Detroit should 100% be weaponizing their cap space this deadline - hell, any team, even contenders, should be open to doing that if they have it available. I think a 3rd is fair value on that retention, regardless of where Kane goes (I think this is fair value for him, fwiw.)

-The Isles have a handful of Erne-types already on the team (Hudson Fasching, Andy Andreoff, & Cole Bardreau) so I don't really see a big need for them to move an asset to acquire another. Wilde is incredibly available if you want to throw a lottery ticket pick to the Island, though - 5th/6th rounder should get it done.

-Feels like a heavy ask for Suter, who's a fine-if-slightly-expensive 3C. Seattle already has good depth at C (Beniers - Wennberg - Gourde - Geekie with McCann, Schwartz, & Donato on the NHL roster to fill in if need be and Shane Wright a phone call away if need be) so I don't see them really needing to give up a premium asset for another depth C.

-Too spicy for Bert, even with the retention. I could see a '23 1st coming back but Knies is the Leafs' #1 prospect at this point - with the contracts they have on the book, his ELC is worth more than its weight in gold. I can't see them mortgaging that much future for 20ish games of a guy who's been dealing with a ton of injury issues this year.

-Pysyk might not even play this year, you're not getting an asset back for him.

-Probably the right value for Hagg, who knows who takes a swing.

Meier is RFA. They can't afford that contract or the cost to acquire via trade.
