Oh dear... there's so much to discuss here, both for and against the Leafs' favor. But I'll just stick to one main question: Why are you buying out Rielly exactly? I'm baffled.

Knies may / has a chance to be much better than Laffy. Laffy is a 30-35p player. At some point teams stop paying for potential. IMO leafs would be dumb to trade Knies for Laffy... too much risk for a guy that has shown 0 superstar/elite talent. he's not a bust but massive let down from what people thought he would be

Knies hasn't shown anything so it is strange angel you took there. The point is regardless of your own personal opinion, NYR doesn't need to move him. To have him produce 35 pts on the 3rd line is better than this pile of ...

its really not... bc at some point his value could become nothing. IMO i would ask for a NIls type return for him. Rangers just suck at developing their own talent...

Drury says no thanks, but keep dreaming. Laffy isn't available.

Well Drury sees that they are winning and is in no rush. And if they deal him it will be to MTL that offers so much more than this. People said the same about Kakko last year. This year he has finally made a home on the top line in NYR with Kreider and Mika. If he get stuck as a top 9 guy at the age of 24 like 'Puljujärvi' then I would rather take that loss than selling on all time low. Because if Laffy gets moved for this dismal return and he picks it up, that would be the last thing Drury do as GM, and he knows it.

lol Kakko is on pace for 35-37 points. He's a 2nd overall pick. Dach is currently looking better. Hughes is leagues better. "People said the same about Kakko last year. This year he has finally made a home on the top line in NYR with Kreider and Mika" reading this i would have assumed he was producing at a .5+ pace minimum.

well maybe winning matters more, than individual stats. At least I think it does for Drury.
