I wish the Avs got him instead of Kaut in the draft. Philly would be silly to let him go.

Tbh Avs gets a lot of overhype as an elite drafting team. They hit on their top picks but really fumbled the bag with latter picks.

How ever I do give them credit for their salary cap management through the flat cap. Their cap management through the flat cap allowed them to retain and acquire Lekhoken, Nikushkin and etc.

As well they’ve won every trade they pretty much made since 2018.

I don’t think anyone is untouchable unless it’s a franchise player. The only one Philly has imo is Hart. Farabee will get a Hagel like return imo. Toronto will probably part with Robertson, their 1st and even more. I will say I do think the Farabee trade is on Toronto side a little more.

Farabee is absolutely not untouchable in my personal opinion. The only guy I believe is untouchable is Hart and after that nobody comes or should come close.

I just think they like him too much to move him. Young player who already has proven he can be a solid top 6 guy when healthy and he's gonna be a big player in the future.

The Avs have never been called an elite drafting team, that would be Tampa. Avs got the lay ups right, but their best work is with their pro scouting dept.

I agree. I’m kinda curious to see what Fletcher is gonna do. He needs to shed salary and Philly has a lot of anchor contracts. I don’t see him moving on from Risto because that would force him to admit he was wrong.

Maybe Laughton gets moved but if I’m the Leafs I’m trying my hardest to poach Farabee.

I seen a couple places where others called them an elite drafting team.

Their pro scouting is insane plus they’re super analytics focused as well

Fletcher doesn't need too shed any salary. They aren't competing for the playoffs next season so there's no reason to shed salary. Without signing anybody they have 15 milllion to get 3 bottom 6 guys and a 3rd pair Dman to fill the roster and the only player they need to sign are Frost, York and Cates and they are probably gonna sign Gauthier to an ELC. Philly isn't in situation where they have to trade someone for capspace.
