TDL Blackhawks

Created by: esnhl
Team: 2022-23 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 5, 2023
Published: Jan. 6, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Blackhawks have a lot of players who can be traded at the deadline. IMO, these are better/best case scenarios on the trade returns.

I don't think the Rangers will move Lafrenier unless either Kane signs an extension or Blackhawks throw in a pick, but I can see it happening.

Will Toews fetch a first? Probably not, but I can see it happening if the Blackhawks give up one of their late picks for a 3rd team to retain some salary

Lafferty is honestly underrated IMO. He is still having a decent season, has term on his contract, and brings energy. Definitely can see him being moved at the deadline.

Domi signed a deal really easy to be moved at the Deadline. That being said, I can see him staying potentially and signing an extension as the Blackhawks will have to spend money on someone next season.

Jack Johnson is a toss up. He's a locker room guy and I can totally see a team picking up for depth purposes too.

Hawks have a lot more players that could be moved, including Anthanasiou, McCabe, Murphy, Stalock, Kharia, and even Tinordi (Depending on play once he returns). It's gonna be real interesting to see what happens, but if the Blackhawks somehow get 4 first rounders for the draft this year, this rebuild might be accelerated by a lot.

Someone may overpay and give Chicago a 1st for Toews but can't see the Avs parting with the '23 1st for him, and I certainly hope not.

100% the Hawks win the Bedard lottery, that was the main reason to name Petr Mrazek as the #1 starter.

Anything more than future considerations and Toronto declines. We have a ton of defensive depth and Johnson would be our worst one. Pass

I don't think either Kane or Toews will wave their no move clause. Just not to give anything to management. And yeah no way Drury risks his job by doing that move.

Drury says no thanks but counter offers Julain Gauthier for Kane with 50% retention, plus a 1st round pick.

I suspect they both demand the only 1-2 teams they will go. Getting a Hall return.

I can see a future one rather than a '23 for sure. A part of the deal too would be the hawks potentially trading on of their later picks to a 3rd team to take an additional cap, if the AVs need it. For that reason I could see the hawks trying for the '23. These trades are kinda best case scenario for the Hawks too.

What I've heard they won't. And I don't think they want to do management any favours.

I can potentially see this, but I can also see Davidson wanting another late round pick then too. Or if anything, swap a 5th round pick for a 3rd or something along those lines.

If you think the Rangers are trading Laffy to rent Kane, you're delusional.

Let’s say Dallas wants to hear place an offer for Domi and Lafferty, what could you work with on a Faksa and Gurianov swap? Dallas will need to move cap out, and Chicago will need a gap between now and the new draftees being ready to play.
