Thats completely fair and understandable but that is also totally different than what you guys said. You both said Buffalo would want a top prospect back, of which Farrell is. Barron is likely untouchable for now seeing as our RD depth is even shallower than the Sabres.

When did I say they would want a top prospect for Levi?

Not worth it for the Habs, we will just roll with what we have or try to sign Perets as an NCAA FA. My choice would be signing Perets over Levi anyway, he has played almost as well and is from Quebec so he will likely want to sign with the Habs.

That's cool, not the one that made the AGM.

Oh I know, a lot of Habs fans want Levi, I like him too but the price to pay isn't worth it IMO when there are a number of other equally good options that don't require as much or any assets to acquire.

That's it, really the only way Buffalo moves Levi is for something you guys probably don't want to lose.

Yeah, that makes sense cause he has such a high ceiling. Also Buffalo are still in need of a top end starting goalie as well so why should they move him lol.

Farrell is 21 and has never seen AHL or NHL ice, he's also a 4th round pick. To call him a decent prospect would be a stretch. You're right, nobody is moving a top prospect for a goalie prospect, that's why Buffalo would rather keep him and develop him in their system. This trade does not go through.

Joshua Roy is a 5th round pick. Brendan Gallagher was a 5th round pick. Oh and Levi was a 7th round pick. The past is irrelevant.

Farrell is a good prospect with legit top6 upside and creative playmaking with pace. The questions are with his size.

Levi is a good prospect but hes a goalie prospect which are always wild cards.

The Slovak goalie whom stole the show in the WCJ is projected to be a 2nd round pick in 2023. The Habs have 11 picks this draft. They can easily draft Gajan. Levi isnt worth Farrell, period.

Sabres had that kid in Camp last year at the prospects challenge.

Yeah but Farrel is also 5’9. will his game translate to a pro league? Small players are risks. It’s Levi > Farrell and I wouldn’t consider is close.
