Sabres don't really need a goalie, but I'd still do that. I don't know why NYI would

In what world do the Islanders trade their starter--one that looks to be one of the best goalies, not only this year, but in the future--for a player struggling to make and stay on the sabres lineup and a prospect? If the Islanders traded Sorokin this year, the return better start with Wallstedt or Askarov and a top 5 pick

The isles won’t be contenders this year and next, the Sabres trade is just what it would take to start. Just to show that the isles need younger, quicker and more creative forwards. Savoie is an A prospect

There is absolutely no way TB has the Cap space for Parise and he's a contract AZ would love. Here is the big problem for the Isles he's not leaving the Nyc area so that means NYR,NJD or he stays a NYI

As a Ranger fan, I would love to see the Islanders trade Sorokin, but as a hockey trade it is terrible for the Isles. He has the skill and potential to be a Vezina winner.

There would have to be a pick involved as well, that’s just to start. Krebs looks like he can be a good 2C and Savoie profiles similar to barzal. It’s not like Sorokin is 23 YO, he’s 27 and his best years are probably this year and next. Relying on a goaltender just isn’t sustainable, rangers are a perfect example of that

As if Nelson won't regress in the next two years. Bruins decline easily.

I was told he would regress this season

The Isles can just keep him then. Despite his level of play, he could still fall off over the next two years and it's an unnecessary risk for the Bruins to take. They need young players for the future, not a 31yo.

The Sorokin trade is truly baffling... that is a move that gets a GM fired.

It’s just a base - picks would need to be added. Savoie is a future top line winger and Krebs will be a good 2C. The isles need to trade Sorokin and not let him walk for nothing
