Selling UFAs

Description
If the Blues fall out of contention or don't gain much ground before the deadline, I'd like them to sell the UFA's and target these picks and young players.

Are the TOR and PIT deals something those fans would do?

Was wondering about the NYI trade. I'd love to fetch Dufour and was hoping throwing in a controllable PP QB for them plus VT91 would be enough.

I'm not sure SEA would do that trade, but I wanted to throw it out to get feedback.

I set the lineup with Brown and Lind getting 2nd line minutes to see what they could do with a lil more playing time to see if they could be pieces that the Blues could rely on in the future.

It's been a hot minute since the Blues have been close to selling at the deadline, so I wanted to have a lil fun.

Thoughts?

I don't think Seattle's going to have a ton of interest in taking on Krug's contract for the next several seasons. Even if he's still a productive player right now, that could very easily change and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to run the risk of being stuck with such an albatross contract. Plus the fact that he's out injured for at least the next few weeks doesn't help matters.

I also doubt Seattle would want to swap out one of their better defensive d-men in Soucy for an offensive d-man in Krug, which would upset the defensive balance somewhat. While it's true they could use some help on the power play, there are plenty of more affordable options the Kraken could pursue to aid in that area rather than tie themselves to Krug through 2027.

Thanks for the non judgmental feedback. My only drawback was SEA losing Soucy. Plus, don't think Krug waives for anyone but DET or a team close to Michigan.

No way Seattle wants Krug. The get worse this season and in the future with Krug's play and bloated contract. Beside Krug doesn't waive for the West Coast.
Barbashev isn't that special. and certainly hasn't been a good playoff performer.
A lot for Isles to give up and still might miss the playoffs
Leafs....can't see them trading Kampf. So it's really Minten, and 1st and 3rd for ROR. To me it's pricey especially the Leafs really only centre Minten prospect for ROR.

Every team that isn’t named after a genre of music declines.
Just asking for too much in a year where the draft lottery is king

The only thing Brown would do with more minutes is suck even more. He's awful, man. Slow, timid and dumb. To put him above Saad and Neighbours is borderline criminal, but I guess at least you didn't make him a C.

no clue what RORs value is, but Kampf is an untouchable asset
