I don’t think LAK would agree to trade Durzi and Spence for Chychrun 2 for 1 imo. It’s a very high asking price imo, and to be honest I doubt they would want to include Durzi at all.

LA say that they didn't want to pay to dump Petersen also I have been told that Copley is doing well so LA doesn't need a goalie

It’s an either or, if LA wants chychrun with retention I’m shooting for Spence, if they don’t I’d do durzi

I don’t think that’s dumping, veggie is top 10 in goals saved above expected this year, signed with term for relatively cheap. More of a swap imo

Yotes aren’t retaining on Chychrun for 2 and a half years. Also Durzi is more valuable than Spence to LAK given his current production.

I could c Spence, Turcotte and Bjornfoot as the prospects in this deal for Chychrun + Vejmelka tho.

They retained on OEL for 6, retaining isn’t really an issue if the package justifies it

OEL was a cap dump, and Vancouver was stupid enough to take 90% of his salary. You can’t compare that trade with retention to retaining on a top pair d man imo.

I know what you mean i'm not talking about the first I was talking about the third. I think Vejmelka is worth the first but not the third even though it doesn't make too much of a difference

Well that would be a horrendous trade for arizona

If the 3rd is the sticking point, I doubt Arizona would push that issue too much, you could easily take it out if necessary

I was commenting on the prospects component of this trade proposal. I did not mean to imply there would be no draft picks or other assets heading the yotes way in the deal.

It’s more the fact that they’ll do it if they can get what they want. Ideally you get it done without, but if it’s necessary to get the package they’re seeking then so be it

I don’t c them retaining for two plus seasons, but I get ur point. They can probably get the assets they want by taking back salary instead.

If you're getting Chychrun you're not getting retention on top of it. That's ridiculous. Chychrun is one of the best bargain contracts in the NHL.

I'm waiting for Chychrun to tell the Coyotes he will only accept a trade to one or two teams and limit what they can get back, like OEL did

He doesn’t have trade protection, so that’s not going to work
