Not sure what ur watching and a lot of devils fans bc a bunch of people are saying what you are saying about Boqvist. Even tho he hasn’t been scoring, he’s been one of our most solid players. Great defensively, on the pk, and overall a smart player. I think he’s been excellent. We have other players that their job is to score. His job is to be a good two way center and making smart defensive plays. He’s shown flashes of making great offensive opportunities. Also shar has been trash as he is invisible when he isn’t on a two game goal streak. Doesn’t play hard and only has his shot that misses the net too much. I like Mercer and his play with Hughes. I could not disagree more about ur assessment of Boqvist and shar. Boq has been great while shar has been quite awful

Boqvist has been great? He's been a blackhole offensively, he has 1 point in the last 20 games that's absolutely abysmal. He's supposed to be a 3C, his job is to play well defensively AND score some points, just playing good defense isn't enough to make up for his poor offense.

Sharangovich playing in the bottom 6 is going to score over 20 goals this year, he's miles ahead of Boqvist and it's not close.

If you do actually watch devils game and watch every shift Boqvist and shar have had this season, and you come to that conclusion, fair. But it seems like ur just a numbers guy that doesn’t watch the game and only judges based off stats. Boqvist is an excellent penalty killer (better than shar imo) and can take draws as shar is awful at them. He’s much better defensively and clearly works a lot harder than shar. Boqvist has a lot more puck control. Boqvist creates offense but can’t do everything himself. Shar and Boqvist need to create chances when they play together but it’s sharangovich that always loses the puck and ends the offensive zone time when trying to create chances. I also don’t think it helps either of them as they have played with holtz and they will immediately play worse when they are on a line with holtz. Pair Boqvist with Tatar and haula to add some depth in the bottom six with Boqvist and I think Tatar could help Boqvist get on the board more often. That’s just my take from the naked eye as the overall team plays better with Boqvist on the ice as opposed to sharangovich

Shar has been much better than Boq. Boq has been missing open chances like crazy lately that shar has been setting him up for. Also, shar literally has a better faceoff percentage than Boq this season. Boq has sort of just been sitting there doing nothing while shar is actually trying to create chances, which is why shar has points since late November and Boq doesn’t.

Sharangovich tales face offs when someone gets kicked out of the circle. Boqvist has taken 125 draws to shar’s 37. Boqvist has more value based on the face off department of the game. He plays center too. Shar does not set him up. His average time on the puck is under a second. He doesn’t create anything. He loses the puck a lot. But ur opinion is ur opinion
