He will. He brings hits. Something the leafs need.

He wouldn't, mostly because he hits because he never has the puck and cant get it out of the zone. He would be the leafs 5th rhd right now

He can get it out of the zone, his hits are helpful as they allow his teammates to obtain the puck, and he can clear netfront. Oh, and he's only 850k.
Sounds like an attractive piece to have on your roster. btw, he was drafted 5th overall by you guys, looked really good then was traded away to a team where he declined.

I don’t think he’d be traded to Nashville, so Toronto seems like a better fit.

No, he cant and his hits dont help anyone and he doesnt clear anything. Dude bleeds chances and shots against, significantly more than his team does, which says a lot because the canucks are a train wreck defensively.
And i know who drafted him where, that literally meana nothing almost 15 years into his career.
He's cheap because he's not good

Can everyone please stop all this Schenn hate? Schenn is cheap and relatively good.

He is a middling bottom pair defender on a bad defensive team. He is cheap and the only thing he's good relativly to is an ahl 1st pairing defender

I think there are more people who like Schenn than those who hate him. To quote an article by Rob Ellis on NHL Trade Rumour.com,
"Luke Schenn will be sought after by playoff contending teams as he brings a top-four defensive quality play. He plays low-mistake hockey with a physical & tough style of defensive play. He is a stellar penalty killer and most of all he will bring leadership & a winning personality that makes him easy to get along with."
I think Schenn haters are in the minority here. Next season, he's getting at least 2 mil.(unless he chooses to take a discount for the greater good of the team)

Lots of people like bad hockey players, some of them work on nhl jobs. That's why Gudbranson and reeves keep getting work, it doesnt mean the players are good and those lots of people are right.

They're not always wrong though. Schenn is good. He's a solid 2nd/3rd pair d-man and top penalty killer. Him, Petey and Mikheyev are the players between us having a sub-500 pk. Let's leave it at that.

Yeah, thats not true at all. Schenn is, on his best day, a mediocre 6th defender and the canucks have the worst pk in the league.
    Schenn is just bad

Saw there wasn't a period at the end. Let's finish that sentence:
"Schenn is just badly needed by so many NHL teams due to his ability to block shots, kill penalties, give big hits and offensively elevate his d-partner."

Lol, yeah, if you wanna keep lying to yourself do it up.
He's not needed by the leafs, and Vancouver will be lucky to get a 3rd from edmonton or something.
