ideal HUGO trades lines

Description
22-14-pulju; the temptaion of throwing laffy on this line and having the most exciting youth linie in the league is tempting, HOWEVER, 22-14 is a duo that works primarly offensively. they have relatively piss poor possession numbers and generally aren't wonderful outside of the cycle. jesse puljujarvi is one of the best possession forwards in the NHL and will complement the line similarly to dach allowing him to center his own line and develop. think of it as a 1-A line that would play around 21 minutes a night

20-77-laf; martin saint-louis is a superhero and works wonders for this team, BUT, his lineups arent wonderful. please marty i pray to you GIVE SLAF MINUTES! GIVE HIM LINEYS! dach needs to play C for his own development's sake because watching him play a full career along the boards will drive me insane. laffy's biggest problem in NYR was the lack of ice time, playing in 3rd line minutes on a contender is great for an 18 year old but then he developed and krieder and panarin were still ahead of him. give him minutes and watch him flourish (please god i pray that he does not bust). think of this line as our 1-B another 21 a night here

90-28-40; valid third line IMO, high motor with richy, boring defensive DVO is a perfect third liner & army generates so many chances that i cannot stomach having him on the fourth line. give them ten minutes and let them do their thing. if mony was healthy he would center this line and DVO would take richard's spot at LW.

27-71-68; evans should be higher in this lineup but we just have too many guys better than him. im not necessarily on team keep monahan but hes hurt and im done with trades for this acgm so itll have to do. habs fans know why hoffman is a fourth liner even though he has been one of our better forwards this year. i love drou more than life itself but man oh man has he ever bad lucked himself out of the career he couldve had, what a shame. eight minutes for these guys.

21-8* this WOULD be the first pair if they weren't hurt, alas they are. not because i think theyre better than harris-kovo but because kaiden ghule is the closest thing to superman that the habs have and for my own sake i need him on the first pair.

54-26; our ACTUAL best pairing by a mile this season, these guys have actually been NHL-level good. 25 a night.

72-6; wides doesnt make the lineup when everyone else is healthy i like barron over him but i mean on this team its hard to complain. he fits better with sherrif because sherrif is a penalty monster and wides does not take as many ****ty penalties. maybe that will rub off on xhekaj. expect point shots, lots and lots of point shots. 20 minutes a night.

neima-52; rookies, neimalainen was good in preseason for edmonton and hes young. if youre gonna have a young team i think you should commit and this is no exception. expect very little, although if any of these pairings as potential to impress it would be this one. 15 minutes a night against 3rd and 4th lines might just work out for them.

PP: this is already an essay so i will spare you the gory details but basically xhekaj is a perfect point on the PP, it will help him develop his split second descision making and his shot is already perfect for this. another shooting threat is a godsend beause everybody triple teams cole and our pp is useless. dach could be on the first unit, he deserves to be, but that second unit is really skin and bones and somebody needs to make it worth using. its almost tempting to have dach on the point distributing instead of in the slot.

PK: christ almighty this team is awful defensively, please god gift us bedard and let us outscore our problems. three forwards on each unit because every defenceman is like 20 god damn years old and is still grasping the defending parts of defence. if there were better options wideman would not be killing penalties.

please i implore you leave your thoughts below i am very interested as to what you freaks think about this hot mess

I hope Holland stays far away from Edmonson. Just asking to start next year in ltir just like this year and will severally cripple next year's deadline options. Holland should just tinker around the edges of the roster and let the year play out. Aim for next year as beginning of big swings.

Sure you can exploit the Caps, but holy hell man they aren't dumb enough to make that trade lmfao

I think the Rangers tell you to go to Columbus and get in the cannon. Lafreniere is still a half a point per game player. Your offer is a sex offender, a good prospect, but still not enough in Mysak, Kidney whose stock is rising but still not enough for a former 1st overall pick with the pedigree of Lafreniere and 2 3rds.

You're likely going to need to include one of the 1st rounders for Lafreniere in any trade. Whether it's the Florida pick or the Montreal one, you decide. I also suspect that New York are going to be looking for defensive help. My guess would be Guhle because he can play both sides, but I think if it is a prospect of the quality of Guhle, the pick is going to come down a few rounds. Maybe something like Guhle, the MTL 2nd this year, and Evans to replace him on the forward core. That still doesn't help the Rangers RW issue though so perhaps a better idea is Hutson, Mesar and FLA 1st. It's not going to be cheap for Lafreniere.

You say "Gallant seems to be running our of patience with" yet Gallant scratched Kakko before the playoffs last year and that entire kid line was monumental for the Rangers and Kakko is now starting to look like a genuine top six player. The only reason they'd move Lafreniere is in the summer if they cannot afford his new deal with guys like K'Andre Miller, Vitali Kravtsov, and Filip Chytil to re-sign. But I can tell you this isn't even remotely close.

Why would Washington give up good prospects for your cap dumps?

Easy no from Caps. Anderson is overpaid and the late '24 2nd is not enough to take that contract on. If they want to contend, they should spend 5.5 millions elsewhere. Savard at 1.75 is fine, but he doesn't carry anywhere close to this value. It's like Mantha and TvR for Barron and Mesar.

Anderson has one of the worst contracts in the league and this is common knowledge. You'll have to give up more assets to dump him.

History would suggest that all the young defenceman will be traded or not resigned for temporary help and scape goating/chasing out by the Oilers. Like Caleb Jones, Ethan Bear, Matt Benning, Jordan Oesterle, Justin Shultz, Erik Gustafsson, Jeff Petry... Gotta have room to pay Nurse 9.25. Cause paying a player like they are makes them that, right? Playing history and comparables be damned.

No way Caps make that trade. They could get a top tied player for Miro+Chesley. They aren't trading them for a couple meh players.
