I'm sure Chytil would be thrilled to share a locker room with Lafferty.

Can’t imagine Toews gets anything close to that with year he is having and that cap number.

If they where going to trade him with a 2nd I think they would have done it already. Likely they are waiting until this summer after his signing bonus is paid and then you won't have to attach as high of a pick.

Or its possible teams are demanding more than a 2nd.

Trade for Domi seems fair. However, Calgary would need to move a player on the roster (to Chicago or elsewhere) to make it happen. There is a logjam of mid tier forwards.

Ugh, then they really shouldn't be trying to move him and keep the pick, even a 2nd is overpaying to move him imo. Buy him out

Buy him out = no room to sign DeBrincat.

Zaitsev will need at least a second. Few want to pay this year and 4.5 next year for a pylon

If no one will take him then yes it does, not worth a 2nd rounder to save the extra 2.8 against next years cap vs buying him out.

The Sens simply cannot afford to pay $2.8 million for him next year, period. If they do the team will end up $1.5-2 million over the cap.
