I was thinking we gotta keep Kappy. His production has been really great since getting scratched. A young guy with lots of speed and energy and honestly I feel like he deserves more playing time than Rust. I love Rust but geez he’s too streaky. But as of right now the top 6 really sucks. At the same time I feel like Pittsburghs management just wants to move on from him. I’d hope his production as of late has at least risen some trade value. Honestly I really feel like he deserves another shot in the top 6.
Still riding off the idea that Nashville gets to move on from a player that hasn’t worked well for them and only take on Dumo for the rest of the season.
Well, many teams would give the sharks a better return, furthermore, we don't need Maier. Our top 6 are great, we need some new players in the bottom six, and dumo has to go.
Probably a 4th round but perhaps a bidding market would take place
At Deadline, I would think that Watson could be an in-demand player for a contender, and could get more than a 4th. However, if they sens are in any way near a wild card, then I would think they keep him to protect the kids, unless Kelley and Kastlic are back to full-time 4th line roles together.

I wouldn’t be against adding another top 6 option. Personally I think Meier would be great because he’d be more consistent.
LISTEEENNN. At the deadline this would be a deal to make if Kappy keeps up his resurgence. He’s still had a few down games but he’s still at least producing still. Ty Smith on the other hand still being a young recently picked 1st rounder could carry some good value from 2018. Look at Nils Lundkvist. And then the quality 1sts and 2nds can carry in trades as well. Could become an investment. I didn’t think of it at first but it would make a hell of a lot more sense to make this trade at the deadline depending if Kappy continues playing well.

Smith has little to no value. Kapanen has been decent but San Jose would likely just get him for 1 year and then he’s of to ufa. Can’t see San Jose making that trade. I don’t think Pitt has the assets to get meier honestly unless they are giving up a 1st, Pickering, plus more.

Saying Smith has no value is a joke honestly. Especially considering the fact San Jose has a whole lot of nothing down LD in their prospect pool or in the league that are Smiths age and has capabilities of playing in the NHL and not to mention he’d be a cheap re-sign. Only reason he didn’t make the Pens this season is because Pens management didn’t want to lose POJ for nothing as he wasn’t waiver excempt and Ty Smith was. But in San Jose I think Smith would be given greater opportunity and even be a bargain. But I do agree with the rest. Kappy is decent and can become more trade value for San Jose. Hextall in my opinion can become a bit more aggressive if he really wants this team to succeed. Cause I don’t think he ever traded a 2nd in Philly and he did that last season. Who knows if he’ll get more aggressive. But at the moment I don’t see it happening.
