Vrana is too risky for the Leafs and their cap situation. What if he's just done and Toronto loses the useful Kerfoot before the playoffs?

If Sutter was GM, I'm sure he would throw in a 1st for kerfoot as well. However, By is still at the helm for now, and I don't see them giving up futures for another mid tier winger, which they have plenty of right now. It would be sad if they did.

Detroit declines, we have no reason to trade Vrána and absolutely not for that return. It wouldn't even get you the retention without Vrána.

So Detroit retains 50% on Vrana for a nobody prospect plus an overrated prospect and garbage worthless picks. For the last time Detroit isn't giving away Vrana for mere garbage.
