I mean, if the Senators moved Stutzle to left wing with Horvat and Giroux as linemates, signed Horvat to an extension, traded DeBrincat for the right D they want.. if all that happened to play out, I like it from Ottawa's side of course.

From Edmonton's side, there are always cap concerns, but at least Boeser and Draisaitl are up at the same time, so the Oilers could use Boeser for two more seasons before having to likely move on when Draisaitl gets his massive raise. I think the Oilers would have to trade Yamamoto either at the deadline or at the draft. Holden for Ceci, not sure what the real difference in on-ice value is between them, but cap value, Holden wins for sure.

As for the Canucks.. I like Pinto if he reaches his potential, the 1st is nice, will be mid-round to low 20s probably, not amazing, but not insignificant either in this draft, but in terms of what the Canucks expect to get for Horvat and Boeser in separate trades, this pales in comparison.

I don't really like this trade for all teams,

Edmonton goes from 2 struggling players (who aren't producing when playing w Mcdavid and Draisaitl) for 1 at the cost of a first round pick.

Ottawa gives up on Pinto (who the fans highly regard and I see why) and is playing the lottery with Horvat (who doesn't fit in their timeline)

Vancouver gets a very underwhelming return for Boeser and Horvat and this likely gets the gm to lose his job.

The only way this pans out for all side is:

Edmonton: boeser becomes the player that got him drafted and got into the Canucks lineup to begin with

Ottawa: They go on a cup run from now and resign Horvat to an 8 year pact

Vancouver: Pinto and Puljujärvi pan out to their full potential, Ceci isn't dreadful like he was in Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa and the hit a home run on that first round pick.
