Canes will pass. Sure, Demko would likely be a lot better in the Canes system, but he really isn’t worth giving up Jarvis, who is a top line player on his ELC, as well as a first and second rounder. Swap Jarvis for Honka and we can talk.

Not gonna get into value, the sabres have thompson and cozens, and then savoie, ostlund, and kulich that they just drafted. I think reasonably the sabres have to admit that mittelstadt isn't a center and then decide how best to fill that spot. Centers are very important to me, it's nothing against petterson, it seems like not a great way to spend that cap space. I think a short term two way center that can pass would make sense for us. Plus a physical defensive d, preferably a righty.
