Adjustments

Created by: koofyslappa
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 11, 2023
Published: Jan. 11, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Cap increases by $1m. Bruins stay competitive and have enough cap space to account for the previous season overages.

Bergeron and Krejci continue to take discounts as they want to win. Neither retire after the great year they just had.

Unclear on what the number is for Pasta, I believe he is holding out based upon how well he is playing this season and what the cap situation will look like next year. I don't expect him to leave.

Lucic returns on a veteran minimum contract in hopes of winning another cup.

Reilly finally gets traded whether it happens in the 23-24 season or in the year prior.

Grzelcyk is the odd man out and gets traded to the Kraken where they could use a LD next year and have the cap space for him.

Lysell and Lauko make the team.

Frederic, Zacha, Swayman and Clifton each earn raises.

Unsure if Zboril can push for a spot by next year, a question mark there.

We are not gonna take your cap dump and downgrade on picks we would take Reilly and a third for FC.

Reilly’s buyout is about 300k next year. Not sure why you would use picks to save 300k. Zboril isn’t a nhl defenseman.

The fact that Bergeron & Krejci will retired after the season means that's unrealisctic.

Says who? Everyone said that last year and yet…

DK prob 99% chance to retire. Bergy is 50/50. Depends on if they win the cup.

Instead of Lucic, they would probably bring Foligno and /or Nosek back on a team friendly one year deal. They would also buy out Reilly and probably keep Grzlecyk.
