Then a cap strapped team can pay premium. Calgary doesn't have that issue

Can’t speak for the Alberta teams but as a Leafs fan, I have doubts that kuzmenko would help us. His shooting % is 24.6 right now which is insane; literally no one can sustain that so his prod’n will drop off eventually. Plus he has NO track record in playoffs when ice gets smaller and refs put away whistles. Mikheyev was great for us, but disappeared every playoffs.
Good player but I hope the leafs don’t target him if the cost is a 1st +
