I don’t think minnesota does that unless Schenn heads to Minny. Also no idea if that prospect is available.

I could see it as the caliber of prospect Vancouver asks for in that kind of trade. I'd prefer they take one of the D prospects instead, since the Wild have more of them in their cupboards.

Daemon Hunt comes to mind. They won’t trade Peart since he’s a minnesota kid.

Lambos/Peart/maybe Hunt would be the piece for sure, if it were possible. Hah, they'd still have Faber!

I highly doubt Khusnutdinov is available, especially for someone who is strictly a rental for this year only. Vancouver can ask all they want. They won't get it.

If they're set on getting a center prospect back. One of Haight, Bankier, or Petrovský would work with another prospect to even out the value.

On the defensive end, one of Masters or Spacek likely fits the bill. Both are having excellent seasons and Spacek specifically turned heads at the WJC.

Zero chance Guerin moves Lambos for rental Horvat.

I wouldn’t move Spacek. He was really good.

I wouldn't either.

I was just saying he fits the bill.

The future on the right side is likely Faber and Addison. Keeping Spacek or Masters for 3rd pairing duty is pretty important.

But that means one of Spacek or Masters should be available for a rental like Horvat.

Yea probably not. Hopefully one of those guys lower on the totem pole could suffice.

Raanta might be moved, but I don’t think it’s remotely likely he gets moved just based on how injury prone Freddie is, Koochie is likely still playing at less than 100%. So if Raanta were to get moved, it’s going to take a bit more than a 4th liner and a middling pick to pry him out. It’s very likely that 1 of 2 things happen: 1) Koochie is sent down to the Wolves to finish the year and regain his confidence and round out his game; or 2) the Canes just run 3 goalies down the stretch like they did in 2021.
