Even though I think Anderson should have negative value, it seems as though GMs really like him, and that the habs can probably still get assets for him so I don't see us giving up a first to get Mantha, who I don't think we need. I do think the habs have to find a way to offload his salary somehow though.

Hoffman is a pure cap dump. A 5th is an extreme overpay for him.

Dallas, Detroit, Winnipeg, and Washington all decline easily. NYR maybe.

Are you even trying? Dvorak has less than a handful more points than Veleno despite the fact that Veleno hasn't even played 2 full seasons. Dvorak is better at FO, but also gives away the puck significantly more than Veleno (who has more takeaways than giveaways). Let's also not forget that Veleno will likely be <$2M cap hit for the foreseeable future while Dvorak's getting paid over 2x that.

Detroit has no use for Allen, We can just resign Hellberg for cheap, And no interest in Christian Dvorak what so ever. He doesn't bring anything to the table for us.

Sorry, Laffy isn't available for trade. If you must have someone that is French, you can have Sammy Blais.

I hope Caps don't do that because Mantha is so freakn good and needs to be getting more minutes, but it isn't the worst trade in the world.

If you want to tank for the first overall pick, you keep Droiun and play him 18 minutes a game, you'd surely lose 9 out of 10 with him on the 1st line.

Spot on. Even a 1 for 1 doesn't make sense.

As a Detroit fan...Mantha is all talent and no effort. The fact that he made it this far is astounding.

Sean Farell is something special. I wouldn't trade him for Laf.

Tomas Jurco was something special until he got to the NHL. Kaako was something special, Laf was generational, the list goes on.

For a dude that doesn't try he's so freakn good. Drives play at both end of the ice.

Yup.. he probably did that really well for a few games. He might have dominated for 19 minutes in a single game. But he ALWAYS messes it up royally. Stupid penalty, stupid give away, lazy back check. He had the potential to be a perennial 40/40 power forward with size who can skate. If he gave a Bertuzzi effort every night, you might have a Selke and Richard winner. It's all there. He just doesn't use it.
