You aren't getting Turcotte for Edmondson. If Turcotte is involved in a trade for a LD, it'll be for Chychrun.

i'm offering and experienced LHD half priced and a surprise LHD to be in Struble. I know you want chychrun, but you would be better long term with Struble!

The odds of Strubble being half as good as Chychrun are almost nil, explain your reasoning

Built as he is he would not be that injury prone as Chychrun. He will be a Xhekaj with two way ability. Needless to say that an ELC contract for cap situation for Kings would help further on. This kid is a stud and I wouldn't trade him, but for a former top 5 1st round i'm willing to sacrifice. L.A. need LHD and this youngster here can help not only to be a stop gap, but a regular LHD in the near future ( 2 years if he keeps going as actually). I know L.A. is in a win now mode and a guy like Edmunson could fit the gap and bolster the Kings d-core. Without going after Chychrun L.A. do not mortage their future. Ylonen can be stated as a throw in, but he is already a good 2 way with good hands. Chychrun might have the hype, but not in the long run at the cost McSorley as stated in his AGM earlier this morning.

We won't get Turcotte for this and we don't want Walker.

Wifi is 6'4 and over 30lbs heavier than Struble. Whether he is less injury prone than Chychrun shouldn't matter if he plays less than 100 career NHL games. I don't think he's a "stud" at all, he's projected to peak as a 3rd pair defensman right now. Saying you will take the risk on a former top 5 pick is a no brainer as Turcotte has immensely more potential still.

I never commented on the trade, I commented on how you think LA is better off with B level defense prospect that probably needs 2+ more years of development in the AHL minimum vs one of the best 2-way dmen in the league signed to a super team friendly deal for 2 more years after this one

Just not sure Edmundson carries the value you think he does, constantly injured (his gp per year is bad), hes a -18 in just 32 games, making Risto Ristolinen look good in comparison.

I think you overvalue Struble, who at best is projected as a 3rd pairing/7th.

MTL is desperate to shift some bodies, they have a boatload of misfit toys they need rid of (Hoffman, drouin, armia, edmundson, Dandanov, monahan, etc...) so getting equal value for what is essentially similar to cap dumps is unlikely.

Not saying the deal is off by tons or what each team needs, but whats on offer isn;t enough and LA will do far better elsewhere

`Turcotte hasn`t proved anything yet. Questionable numbers at the AHL. He is a project like Dach and we got Dach for a 2nd Rd D in Romanov and a 3rd rd pick (albeit that Romanov was traded for pick # 13 which was sent to Chicago).

The offer on the table is more than justifiable.

I've seen many d-man and the physic asset of Struble are like Subban, now will he be a top pair, no, but could he become a top 4, that's a project. L.A. been thin on LHD also receiving 50% Edmundson who still play hard to block shot and a two way forward in Ylonen for taking Walker and project Turcotte is for me a gamble for Kings, but a good one. Habs prospects pool is the deepest of the league among top5, even our B prospect can surprise.

Walker and the earlier of our two 2023 thirds for Edmundson with 50% retention is fair.

Turcotte and the later of our two 2023 thirds for Kaiden Guhle and your 2023 second is appealing.

would you really think a rebuilding habs would be open to trade Guhle?

All you do is always coming to downgrade or undermine an habs player or refering to habs fans as homers ... I wonder why I even answer this ... - Kent Hughes.

I'm not downgrading Guhle, I'm putting a high value on him because I think that Turcotte still has high value, too. And I've never referred to "Habs fans" as homers, just the homers.

I can see that there's no point in trying to interact with you on an intellectual level any more. I'm sure that you'll be THRILLED not to receive any comments from me in the future.
