These are all pretty reasonable, except for Klingberg. That is quite an overpay, as he is a shell of the Norris candidate version from a few years ago. He won't do much good for playoff hockey in Edmonton.

Appreciate it. I think he could still get us a 1st, fingers crossed

I figured at this point Puljujarvi doesn’t have any value so more if a throw in

Make it the '24 1st and this Avs fan accepts. The Avs might not, however, as they seem to love MacDermid.

He has value, but Edmonton needs to kick him loose. I feel like this is a Nichuskin type situation where a new team and a bit more growth goes a long way.

I think the 1st being in 23 works since it’s another year after this still under 3 mil for Uncle Rico, Beaulieu plays a similar role and is cheaper but I was throwing in MacD for the fun of it

Not at 3 million against the cap currently I’m afraid but that’s why I put him in the trade

I simply don't see the '23 1st being on offer other than in something massive, or a younger C with more term. It's not an unreasonable ask, just don't see the Avs doing it.

Fair argument, would you see for going to VAN for Bo Horvat?

If the Avs could afford to re-sign Horvat (which they realistically can't) then I'd do one of Newhook/Olausson/Behrens plus the '23 1st (probably Newhook by preference as he then becomes more surplus to requirements). As it is with Horvat being a pure rental, the Avs should look elsewhere. Henrique would be preferable to Horvat under the circumstances.

Add our 2023 third to the Klingberg trade and take out their fifth. If they balk at the third, I'd go so far as to give them the latest of the Boston/Colorado picks.

I'm with @TJTwolf and would accept their 2024 first. In fact, once we get the Edmonton 2023 first, I'd prefer it. And I'd leave out the defensemen, but I'd add our 2024 fifth to fill in their dance card.

I don't think that we also get the 2025 second from Ottawa. I'm perfectly happy with their 2023 second.

The rest of it, of course, I love.

You aren't getting Edmonton's 1st by adding a 3rd, lol. Puljujarvi + 3rd is probably about Klingberg's value (with 50% retained), but even still I don't think Edmonton would bite. He's a poor-mans Tyson Barrie and they already have Tyson Barrie.

(Nevermind that Holland has never, ever traded a 1st for a rental.)

Friedman mentioned today that Edmonton isn't interested in Klingberg, so you'll have to find another sucker to trade with.

Also with how they are spiraling in the standings bc the injures are really catching up to them, they should avoid moving the 2023, there is now a real risk of things getting away from them seasons wise and being in a spot just to fight yo make the playoffs

Injuries and really bad play has tanked them

I don’t touch horvat in any trade, he can’t be extended to a reasonable number, it’s just burning assets at this point
