Okposo retiring seems pretty unlikely but I do see him resigning to end his career at a team friendly cap hit.

These trades are ridiculous. But we are allowed to dream. So, I'm proud of you.

Which ones are ridiculous? I think they're reasonable if not ideal.
- I'm sure SJ wants a 1st, but they're getting a ton of value. it's 2 2nds (if Johnson doesn't sign), our top prospect and Mittelstadt is polarizing but has legit 2C potential if he can find consistency
- A solid W prospect and a mid 2nd for Murphy isn't far off, if at all from what I've seen on here.
- don't know Calgarys situation, so might have one there.
- Tuch for Portillo seems harmless enough
- Olofsson is worth at least a mid 2nd

Well, that probably seemed harsher than I meant it, but:
- Asplund bringing back a 1st round pick... no way
- Boston trading out of the 1st round to dump Reilly, whom they do not need to dump, and get Bryson who they don't need to add.
- Thinking CHI has any interest in Comrie or that Kisakov and a late 2nd would get Murphy or that CHI is sending a 4th round pick in that deal.
- Thinking that offer gets Meier. It's maybe close value-wise depending on how you value Mitts, Johnson, and Savoie. But outside of Savoie and MAYBE Johnson, I doubt there is much SJS is interested in.
- Tuch for Portillo is fine I guess
- I feel like BUF should be able to do better than a 2nd for Olofsson. But I guess it's close enough.

So, Idk. Maybe "ridiculous" was a little strong of a word to use. But, thinking BUF is going to add two more 2023 1st round picks and Meier without really giving up anything of value or taking on more significant cap dumps is just a pipe dream.

I don’t see enough value in the Meier trade honestly. Mitts might have as many points as Meier has goals at the end of the year. Savoie has been fine but nothing special in his D+1 year. Johnson will likely hit ufa. No 1st. I just don’t see it

That's my bad for reading into intention lol. That makes sense. Would like to hear the thought on the Calgary trade for sure, and the Boston one be might be thinking Boston makes a big move and needs the space? But still it's moving back ~20 spots for 1.2 mill and a 7th defenseman so you're prob right there too

When Middlestadt has a 50pts season not a 50pt career you can start talking about 2C potential

Ryan merkeley has potential and was over drafted. We'll take Rosen one for one.

People thinking Cozens is signing for $6.5mm X 8years are gonna be in for a rude awakening. He's a point per game player at age 21 and rapidly improving. If he's signing for 8 years, he's getting at least $8mm/yr.
