Definitely, I think a part of the thinking here is that if Treliving is spending the 2023 1st he's either making the conference finals or he's looking for a new job elsewhere after this year, I think what is great for him is that if he fails with the Flames this year his contract is up, he goes all in leaves it in a heap if it doesn't work, find another job, he's a good enough GM that 31 other hockey opps departments would give him a look.
