I think Sanderson should be (or become) the #1LD and then OTT can trade Chabot to get some help in other holes; there's a lot of holes.

Adding Joel Edmundson would be more like putting a hemorrhoid on a band aid.

That’s where I’m getting at too. Sign Graves in free agency, trade Chabot for Durzi ++

Hey long time no see!

I've only seen Sanderson a couple of times but one of those games he was "Mr. Everything". It just seemed like hmmmm, what if Chabot is moved for other assets!

Durzi - like Sanderson, only watched him a bit but agree, he's got game and can get the RD side (PP1/2 etc.) solidified.

Or.... hear me out here... the coach is not good. Ottawa has 5 dmen who can play regularly on a playoff team, they need a coach who isn't the **** son of Mike Babcock.

You can upgrade on Holden or leave room for JBD, but Chabot, Zub, Sanderson and Brannstrom are all worth hanging on to. They ABSOLUTELY need to bring in a good 2RD, but personnel isn't the reason they are bad defensively. They haven't had any defensive structure in 5 years.

I agree with you when u say that. but chabot isn't playing like a $8m player maybe you can blame coaching on somethings but he's worse than our rookies. he needs a change of scenery. Brannstrom is good at skating with the puck... that's it... he's bad at clearing the front of the net, body positioning and winning puck battles. move him for a big liable LD like Nikita zadorov and all that is fixed.

One off year needs a change of scenery? Forgive my lack of knowledge, but if he really is the 1 or 2 D he appeared to be last couple years, why change the scenery? Honest question. Usually, change of scenery is guys like Zadina or Puljujarvi. Top 4D don't get go easily, top 2 only get let go if there is a real problem that can't be repaired. Seriously, what gives? Back story or analysis?

What's going on with him? A cursory glance at his stats show nothing is amiss, rather that he is on an extremely strong pace compared to previous seasons.

Chabot and Brannstrom together on the same dcorps are too soft

He’s good but he needs the right partner and to be sheltered a bit. He shouldn’t be playing 25+ mins a night . He’s an offensive Dman and has been soft defensively at times and turns the puck over

Brannstrom is useless for us! he's a small puck moving D... We already have chabot and sandy better than him! trade him before is value goes to 0! Now his role is 3rd LD Grinder which requires him to win puck battles in the D zone, clear the net front/ zone and he can't do it well so he's a liability on the ice.

also chabot is not chabot this year I wouldn't even pay this year's chabot 4m. He's only got 1 gear... the slow gear... he's turnover and giveaway machine. Sandy is much better than him and he's the rookie it look like he's the veteran and chabot is the rookie.
