Minnesota declines because Ryan Hartman fits their team so well with his versatility and he's on a very good contract.
With $12M in dead cap, Ryan Hartman is a necessity for the Wild.

Definitely too much for Hartman, he boomed in a high scoring year and there’s no way he succeeds even close to as much in Toronto in a more sheltered role without Kaprizov. Plus, this trade also feels blech for Minnesota, as they would have trouble making it past the first round without Hartman, as he’s a pretty key part of their lineup.

The Horvat deal is a huge overpay, if that’s what it takes, he ain’t worth it. I’d think Reimer nets at least a second, but I don’t think he beats out either Sammy or Murray at this stage in his career.
