I’m not so sure, Russo made it sound like a Gaudreau extension is all but certain. He’ll take a friendly deal and they adore him.

Yeah I've heard that. Evason loves him and he is a good role player, but don't think he can continue to contribute offense by himself. Boldy needs someone more offensively advanced to help him reach his whole potential. Hopefully Rossi can get there next year so Gaudreau doesn't need to carry such a load.
