I completely agree. I doubt they buy at this deadline but if they do I think toews would be a perfect fit. Wonder if he'd go there

I think the Hawks accept if the picks are the 2023 1st and the 2024 2nd. A 1st 3 drafts away for a rebuilding team is not as attractive.

True but it is a big offer. Might accept anyway just to keep the farm system rolling. They’d have (if no other trades happen) 2 1sts in the next 3 drafts + they had 3 last year. That’s pretty impressive for a rebuild.
