Take the unnecessary Bjugstad and low-value fifth out from that side, and replace Kaliyev with Grundstrom or Anderson-Dolan.

Unlikely Winnipeg considers paying that much for a rental plug to healthy scratch.

They don’t want Peterson if they’re not moving veggie in the deal, which completely changes everything about that trade. Arizona would just keep Ritchie, no need to use a retention slot for a 5th. They’ll want two 2nds just to take faksa, dude makes $3.25m for another two years with 7 points.

Sure to pt1. but LA fleeces the Yotes if that replacement is made, both dumping Peterson and trading Chychrun at that value is pretty bad.

That brings up another option. Removing Peterson, but then how does the cap work for LA this year and next year? Can't see the yotes retaining.

We wouldn't want to include Petersen in any trade in which he is moved at a loss. He's in Ontario now for the rest of the season and he can stay there next season, too, if necessary, without sending us over the cap even with Trevor Moore's raise.

I'm under the impression that we will have enough accrued cap space at the deadline while sending one of the minimum-level contracts back, but we could include Sean Walker in the trade if necessary.
