Well considering Arizona would be owning your 2023 1st+ if you wanted them to take OEL back, probably not very. Every team declines btw

Lekkerimäki should be enough to dump OEL, he's short on the rest of the Chychrun package imho

You clearly haven't seen Kakko play lately, for 2.1 M cap hit, this guy is a steal.
That is an obvious no from Drury. I don't believe that is a stretch at all to state.

Who knows but you can bet the Avs wouldn't be doing that trade anyway.

The only trade that is remotely cloose is the Buffalo one and i still dont think they would do it.

Buffalo declines, if we are adding it needs to be someone that moves the needle, we are doing paper transactions now just to fit players. And why would the Rangers do that, atleast for that.

-Why would the Avs trade a guy getting 20+ minutes a night for a rental in Horvat, and why in the world are they adding a 1st to that? No way Colorado does that deal, it opens up a big hole on the blue line to "fix" 2C by getting a guy who's shooting 10% better than his career numbers in a contract year.

-Arizona tells you "no backsies" - or, at best, "not enough". If we assume Lekkerimaki is even enough value to re-absorb OEL's deal, then you're only offering a 1st this year and a 2nd three drafts away for Chychrun's services. Just not enough value here for Arizona to help you out.

-I don't know why Ottawa is gonna give you a 3rd to absorb Myers' $6M AAV when they are in a position where they might not be able to extend Alex Debrincat because of cap issues. If anything, you can ship Myers to a cap floor team like Anaheim for FCs after his signing bonus is paid - they *might* give you a small asset for the right to pay $1M on a $6M AAV, but that's about the best you can expect for him at this point.

-Stillman would be the 4th or 5th best LHD on Buffalo (depending how you feel about Kale Clague) - I don't see a reason for Buffalo to spend any sort of asset on the type of player they could just sign off an AHL roster if they needed the depth.

-Kakko might be a disappointment based on his draft position, but he's at least scoring at a 35-40 point pace and getting 15 minutes a night in the NHL. Hoglander can't even get ice time with a team set to rebuild like the Canucks - so, no, I don't think throwing the Rangers a 3rd rounder in 2025 is going to be enough to make up the value difference between the two guys.

As far as making the playoffs? I think it depends on Demko - this team is slightly better than the current Canucks team, but you only got there with a handful of deals that saved you cap space to sign guys like Severson and Compher. In a reality where every break happened in your favor and this team came together, I could see them being a wild card team - my biggest concern is that the only really strong defensive D you have is Luke Schenn, and you only have him because he agreed to take a pay cut to play for team. I think that you're gonna be playing a lot of high-event hockey with this squad.

Once he stops laughing, Drury says no thanks, and then counter offers Julain Gauthier for Podkolzin plus a 1st round pick.
