Monster trade at the deadline

Created by: njlaforte
Team: 2022-23 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 17, 2023
Published: Jan. 17, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This trade would come with a trade in the offseason involving either Scheif or PLD.

This center depth for the playoffs would make us a favourite for the cup. Probably would add some more forward depth.

It's fun to look at, but way too many pieces in the Vancouver deal. The Nucks could probably get more moving Horvat and Garland separately.

The Jets also can't afford to move out a top 4 defenseman without a upgrade coming back.

A lot of moves to make the top 9 better while severely weakening the defense and losing a 1st.

Overall, this makes the Jets a weaker team and making huge moves isn't something the Jets should consider with how they are currently playing.

Jets won’t be giving up any of their core guys at the deadline, Pionk will be part of the playoff push. If anything they’ll add another defender and will scratch Samberg as he’s not as experienced like the rest of the d core.
