Description

Holden, Brass and Watson moved to Stanley Cup asperation teams on their request. If they wanna stay, then they can finish out the season here. Talbot is their best trade chip but, I think they try to keep and extend him. The wildcard is Debrincat, he could fetch a tonne (especially if they retain half) if Ott doesn't think they can extend him. Even if Ott is sniffing around the wildcard spot (which I think wont really be happening), they should make the push with their youth to see what they truly have for next year for when they need to be competing.

Can't retain on more than 3 contracts... Retaining on any of these contracts won't move the needle in any fashion as TDL cap space exists.

If someone is interested in Hamonic, you take the deal. Give some reps to Thomson or Guenette. Holden won't get that much. Probably in the realm of a 4th or 5th or something similar to what they got from J. Brown last year.

All the other deals seem reasonable..

seconded. especially not at a higher price we paid for him all those years ago (4th went to colorado) or the same price than we traded him for (3rd came from Boston)

Did not realize he was a Ranger before but the fact remains he gets moved for a mid round pick. Its more of the roster set up after getting rid of vets on expiring contracts.

I think he would be a great 13th forward/ playoff depth for any contending team and chose the Avs because they are right up against the cap and a 13th forward at a cap hit of 375,000 is great for that reason alone

Someone probably gives that for Brassard but can't see it being the Avs. Been there, done that and it didn't work.
