Montreal passes, we have no reason to move Dadonov and the Habs like how Kidney is working out so far. Also the Habs have no need for Hajek or Blais

I could live with S Blais on the fourth or third line in MTL but not at price of Kidney

Dadonov is in the last year of his contract and has not done well in MTL. Currently he has 4 goals on the season. I don't see him resigning in MTL so they could get a pick from CHI before he leaves via free agency. Perhaps Kidney is not the player who goes but I was projecting a B prospect for Blais and Hajek. MTL will likely move Edmonson at the deadline and Hajek could fill the 3LD spot on the roster. Perhaps a change of scenery could benefit him, now is the time for MTL to gamble a bit as they are rebuilding around their young players. Also, Drouin is likely gone after this season. Outside of Slaf and Hoffman LW depth is weak. Blais could potentially help with that.

If Eddy leaves we still have Guhle (injured), Matheson, Harris, Xhekaj on the roster with Norlinder and a whole slew of others buried due to too much depth at LD, Hajek would be in a similar situation to Norlinder and would not be pushing anyone out of the lineup (except to sit as a 7th D instead of Wideman).

Dadonov is likely gone but we have CC 1LW, Slaf 2LW, Hoffman 3LW and a bunch of 4LW options. We also have guys like Heineman, RHP and Ylonen who will push for spots next year, so our LW depth might not be great but it is ok.

Yeah guys like Heineman, RHP and ylonen will push but S.Blais bring sand and paper which is lacking on the bottom six currently. Correct me if I'm wrong but Blais did he play as center ? Cause he could be a good player for fourth line along Pezzetta and RHP. That cool be a cool line to see.

Evans will be back next year as well as Gallagher and Armia all 3 of them play a physical game add in Pezzetta and that is 4 sandpaper types of players in the bottom 6. We don't need to add Blais as well it just makes no sense

I would prefer 10 time Blais over Armia but I understand your point.
